The radiant glaze composed of foliate patterns painted in variegated greens and browns against a caramel-colored background. The garlic-mouth form, on a circular foot, signed underneath: HAK. An unusual and handmade Chinese inspired form from the small Danish workshop of Herman A. Kähler. The piece is in great overall condition. Museum wired, the vase is not drilled and can easily be converted back into a vase. Minor chipping of the glaze around the foot, typical with Kähler production of this period - see museum examples illustrated by Peder Rasmussen in Kählers Værk. Lampshade sold separately.
